Here's the proof! I remember the gig well. They were really good - I still like the Manics, though I preferred their early stuff... Currently looking through the archive as I write my autobiography and there should be more posters like this (Billy Bragg, New Model Army to name just two!)

I was sent this by Al Cane - a fine collage it is too, put together from photos taken at my performance at Levellers' Day, which takes place in mid May in Burford every year. It commemorates the execution of three Levellers by Cromwell's forces following the Levellers' revolt against his despotic leadership and broken promises.
